Currently, I am working as a research-fellow at Zentrum für Literatur- und Kulturforschung Berlin and writing my PhD-thesis on "Fantasies of Prevention". Also, I'm a playwright and translator of plays, poetry and literary essays.
How to be modern today?
To be modern, in my opinion, would mean to think about the world under the premise of the improbibility of reality and the openness of future horizons, especially when dealing with notions of identity and security. I think this would enable us to find that notions of diversity and trust – implied by the premise of an open future and improbable reality – don't come, by all means, easy or self-evidently. Which is good, I think, if you want to, democratically, endorse them as political objectives.
