How to be modern today?
Look at very distant pasts. Some role models for the next developments will come from a time before the industrial revolution - e.g. the importance of cities (like in Renaissance city states), the emergence of billions of individual villages (global in reach, medieval in size) and a world without superpower (last seen more than 800 years ago). As the industrial age is becoming more like a dead end of human development, we should dig under its pavement to get to the beach of modernity.
